Taylor Swift has revealed details of her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The record will drop October 3 and feature a title-track duet with Sabrina Carpenter, her former Eras Tour opener.
Album Details
Produced entirely by Max Martin and Shellback, the LP follows 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department, which spent 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Swift shared the news on Instagram at 7 p.m. ET, along with the album cover — a glittering portrait of the singer in sparkly netting — and the full tracklist, which includes:
- The Fate of Ophelia
- Elizabeth Taylor
- Opalite
- Father Figure
- Cancelled!
…and more.
Special Editions
Fans can choose from four physical versions: Sweat and Vanilla Perfume, It’s Frightening, It’s Rapturous, and It’s Beautiful. Each variant includes unique artwork, photo cards, and a collectible charm bracelet inside a jewelry box.
The Reveal
Swift announced the album just as a countdown ended on her website. At the same time, she appeared on boyfriend Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, where she discussed the new project, the end of the Eras Tour, and reclaiming her masters. The appearance came after the Kelce brothers teased a “special guest” earlier in the week.
“And, baby, that’s show business for you,” Swift captioned her Instagram post.
