The Tour Continues in Europe
Iron Maiden is back with more live shows in 2026. The band has confirmed the first European dates for their Run For Your Lives world tour. After a hugely successful 2025 leg, they’ll return to Europe this summer. This time, they’ll focus on festivals and stadiums in cities they missed last year. Additional global tour stops will be revealed later.
A Message from Steve Harris
Steve Harris shared the band’s excitement:
“We’re all loving this tour. The fans have been incredible, the setlist fits perfectly with our 50th anniversary, and this might be our best show ever. With nearly every date sold out and over a million fans attending, we knew we had to add more dates in Europe before going global again.”
Simon Dawson will continue on drums. Harris added his thanks for the warm welcome fans gave Simon during the first leg.
Festivals, Stadiums, and Fan Favorites
Iron Maiden enjoys the challenge of festival crowds. Harris explained:
“Festivals let us perform for new fans, and we love that. We’re playing major metal fests and returning to places like Greece, Romania, Slovakia, and Bulgaria, where the fans are always passionate.”
Rod Smallwood on Tour Growth
Manager Rod Smallwood praised the fan response:
“We were blown away by the energy of our fans and the media during the 2025 shows. It felt like our best tour ever. Festivals played a major role in our rise, starting with Rock in Rio in 1985. So, this leg is also a thank-you to those iconic fests.”
He also revealed stadium shows in parts of Germany (Hannover), France (Lyon), and Italy (Milan’s San Siro Stadium). San Siro will mark a milestone — Iron Maiden will be the first metal band to perform there.
Special UK Show Coming
One mystery remains: July 11 is simply listed as “UK Headline Show.” Rod teased something special for British fans and mentioned plans to expand the “Eddie’s Dive Bar” concept, first introduced in 2025.
Filming in Paris
Iron Maiden will return to Paris La Défense Arena on June 22 — for a good reason. This show will be filmed for future release. It will be their 31st performance in Paris since first playing there with KISS in 1980.
Going Phone-Free for the Filming
To create a better filming experience, Iron Maiden will partner with Yondr to create a phone-free zone on the arena floor. Fans will lock their phones in secure pouches they keep with them during the show.
In other sections, the band asks fans to be considerate. Avoid filming, stay in the moment, and don’t block others’ views. Fans are encouraged to politely remind those who break the rule.
Global Announcements Coming Soon
Rod Smallwood ended with a message for fans outside Europe:
“We haven’t forgotten you. More announcements are coming for 2026. After that, the band will take a well-earned break in 2027.”
