Disney Releases New Zootopia 2 Trailer and Poster

U.S. Theatrical Release Set for November 26 — Judy and Nick’s Partnership Faces Its Toughest Test Yet

Walt Disney Animation Studios has officially unveiled a new trailer and poster for Zootopia 2, confirming its U.S. theatrical release date as November 26, 2025.

The sequel brings back the beloved crime-solving duo: rookie officer Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and sly fox Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman). After cracking the biggest case in Zootopia‘s history, the pair now face unexpected tension. According to the trailer, Chief Bogo (voiced by Idris Elba) assigns them to a mandatory “Crisis Partners” counseling program—hinting that all is not well between the two.

Their strained relationship is quickly tested. When a venomous snake surfaces in the animal metropolis, Judy and Nick are pulled into a brand-new mystery that threatens the harmony of Zootopia once again.

New Characters, New Threats

Joining the cast are several intriguing newcomers. Ke Huy Quan lends his voice to Gary D’Snake, the mysterious snake at the center of the investigation. Meanwhile, Fortune Feimster voices Nibbles, and Quinta Brunson plays Dr. Fuzzby, a quirky quokka therapist involved in the counseling program.

Despite these fresh additions, fans can look forward to the return of many characters from the Oscar-winning original film.

Director’s Vision

Director Jared Bush, who also helmed the first Zootopia, returns to write and direct the sequel. Speaking about the production, he said:

“It was such a joy to reunite with so many of the actors who helped make the original so special. At the same time, I’m thrilled to welcome our new cast members and explore new parts of the Zootopia universe. I think audiences are going to be surprised by what we’ve prepared in this next chapter.”

Bush also serves as Chief Creative Officer at Walt Disney Animation Studios. He co-produces the film alongside Byron Howard and Yvette Merino, both of whom won Oscars for their previous work.

With this release, Zootopia 2 becomes the 64th feature-length animated film in Disney’s storied lineup.
