Cardi B knows how to grab attention—and this time, she’s using humor to boost excitement around her new album. On August 27, the Grammy-winning rapper took to X Spaces to jokingly claim she’s broke, all in an effort to push sales of her upcoming AM I THE DRAMA? box sets.
“I’m about to get evicted from my mansion,” she said. “They’re gonna repo all my cars—my Lambos, my Rolls-Royce. I couldn’t even get my pool cleaned this week. I’m f**ked up in the game right now.”
In the same breath, she revealed the cause of her alleged financial trouble: the sky-high production cost of her “Imaginary Playerz” video. According to Cardi, filming took her to Greece and France, which significantly drove up expenses.
Because of this, she playfully urged fans to “donate” by buying the box sets and vinyl editions, which cost around $40. She framed the request as supporting the “AM I THE DRAMA? Charity Foundation”, joking that the money could help her get her nails done.
Additionally, Cardi mentioned her youngest daughter Blossom’s upcoming birthday, adding, “My mortgage across both houses is like $46,000 a month. How am I gonna keep up with that? I might have to sell my p**sy in Dubai or something.”
To top it off, Cardi lamented that she couldn’t even treat herself to luxury shopping as usual. “I normally buy a Birkin or a Kelly every few months,” she explained, “but this time my boyfriend had to get me one.”
