Charlie Kirk, the Turning Point USA founder and prominent right-wing activist, died at age 31 after someone shot him in the neck while he spoke at Utah Valley University. The FBI is now asking the public for tips to help locate the shooter.

Response and Fallout
President Donald Trump mourned Kirk’s death on Truth Social, calling him “great and legendary.” He later delivered remarks in the Oval Office, saying he felt both grief and anger.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox also condemned the attack. He called it a “dark day” for both the state and the nation.
Investigation
Law enforcement said they detained a person of interest. However, that individual was released after questioning. Authorities are still investigating.
Utah’s Department of Public Safety said the suspects in custody currently have no confirmed connection to the shooting.
